The idea of the Content-based Instruction method is that students learn a language through learning content. You can choose any topic you want to teach, and as long as you teach it in English, they will be learning the language.
A good example of a way to teach within this method with media is by using videos, and having them complete a fill-in-the-blanks sheet as they watch the video. Before hand, you will need to teach a very simple lesson on this topic so that they understand what is being taught.
